Hilton approached NameStormers to develop a name for a new hotel collection positioned just below their upscale Curio Collection. The brand needed to appeal to younger travelers (ages 30-45), while maintaining Hilton’s high standards. Each property would offer unique experiences and prime locations for local exploration, from SOHO in NYC to beachfront destinations in Florida.
The Name
“Tapestry Collection” emerged as the perfect metaphor – just as a tapestry weaves diverse threads into a masterpiece, this collection would unite distinctive hotels under one remarkable brand. The name captured both the individuality of each property and their collective strength under the Hilton umbrella.
