Growing with Care

Launched in 2023 at a local Crux Climbing Center, John 13 Community (J13) began as a two-member program and quickly grew into a place where adults with autism and IDD soar—physically, emotionally, and socially. Now with 8 members and meeting three days a week, J13 has become a vibrant community of support and growth.

In January 2025, J13 moved from the climbing gym into its own dedicated home base. Climbing remains a weekly highlight, while the other days are filled with a variety of engaging community activities that foster connection and independence.

In February, J13 launched a pilot program called Respite to Residential (R2R). The first step in this initiative is offering respite services to parents, laying the groundwork for long-term residential solutions that provide stability and peace of mind.
