Choice Hotels came to NameStormers needing a name for a new restaurant for one of their hotel chains. The brand positioning of the new restaurant was optimistic, uncomplicated, warm, inviting, and thoughtful. The team at Choice Hotels wanted the name to embody “where everybody is somebody”. They also wanted to incorporate a red circle as a design element and wanted the new name to work with this visual element.
“Social Circle” was a perfect-fit name for what Choice Hotels wanted. It was easy to remember, fun, and communicated all the ideas and brand positioning that they hoped for. “Social Circle” became a restaurant where travelers could feel right at home and feel like “somebody” in unfamiliar territory. The new name even worked with the red dot design element to bring the name “full circle”.
