The Need

General Rehabilitation Services and General Care Review were merging and needed a new corporate umbrella brand name. They wanted to maintain some equity in the “General” identity, but avoid the negative baggage associated with “rehab” organizations. The new name needed to be shorter, snappier, and high-tech, allowing for future expansion into new areas.

The Name

The chosen name, Genex, cleverly combines “gen” (symbolizing generation and innovation) and “ex” (denoting expertise or “X” for high-tech) to reflect the company’s forward-thinking approach and deep industry know-how.

The Result

Genex successfully rebranded the company, marking its transformation into a comprehensive service provider in workers’ compensation and disability services. The name captured the company’s mission to improve claims outcomes, reduce costs, and help injured workers return to work faster, positioning the company for continued growth and innovation.
